| Juno Award winner MORGAN DAVIS gave one of his usual brilliant performances last night to kick off the 2013 Summer ACOUSTIC BLUE MONDAY Series at THE COVE INN in Westport. You get more than a night of great music with Morgan - it's full-on entertainment. Interesting anecdotes about many of the old Blues legends, Blues history lessons, lots of humour (the Morgan Davis Music Boutique sales pitch is classic), philosophy, and social and political commentary interspersed with some of the best singing, songwriting and guitar playing - regular, slide and 3 string cigar box - you'll hear this side of the Mason Dixon line. A good crowd of mainly new people obviously enjoyed the show if the number of CD's Morgan sold was any indication. Don't miss this man if he comes to a venue near you. He truly is a Canadian Blues treasure. If you're lucky enough to be travelling on Via Rail from Toronto to Edmonton leaving today you'll see him. He's the On-Board entertainer for the trip.
