TREASA LEVASSEUR

LAST ACOUSTIC BLUE SUNDAY SHOW OF THE SEASON GETS A STANDING "O"

Singer/songwriter and multi-instrmentalist TREASA LEVASSEUR - the "slim chicken" with the BIG voice - delivered an incredible show to close out the ACOUSTIC BLUE SUNDAY Summer Series at THE COVE INN in Westport last Sunday.

Not every act that plays here gets a standing ovation. She did. Her performance was more like a "happening" than a show - she had the audience in the palm of her hand all night.

To quote regular attendee Dick Christy who posted this on Facebook: "Treasa Levasseur's performance at the final concert of this season's Acoustic Blue Monday Series at The Cove in Westport was as riveting as it was intimate. Fronting a trio which included David Gavan Baxter (guitars, mandolin) and Brian Kobayakawa (acoustic and electric basses), Treasa's used her primary instrument, her voice, as well as her solid keyboard playing to create a mood that allowed laughter, tears, and critical thought to co-exist. If this sounds excessive, ya weren' there!"

To compliment the fabulous entertainment Chef Joanne Edwards cooked up another delicious buffet - skewered chicken patay with peanut sauce and roast pork loin with lots of veggies, fresh salads, buns and cheesecake for dessert. which is coming up Oct 6 to 8. That brought the total raised for local Westport arts and music organizations from the ABS

$440 was raised for the WESTPORT FALL COLOURS STUDIO TOUR

Here are a few more comments from attendees that evening:

"One of our favourite shows and it's not half over yet! Treasa and her band are brilliant. Thank you!"
Joyce & Doug Acton, Devil Lake (regular attendees)

"This is our first visit to The Cove. We will definitely be back and will recommend it to our friends and family. 10 out of 10 for everything" Nicole Latendresse, Ottawa

"We were here for Harrison Kennedy in July and the food and entertainment were outstanding. So here we are the second time and it's JUST AS ENJOYABLE as we anticipated. Treasa is not only a great musician, she's an engaging performer"

Judy Tetlow, Sydenham

"Good enough to come over from England for" (which he did) Luc Bujold, Callington England (former regular attendee who now lives in the U.K.)
