October 21, 2011 - KAREN LOVELY
The KAREN LOVELY BAND from Oregon kicked off the new BLUES ON THE RIDEAU season at THE COVE INN, Westport on October 21st - the first all American band to play the Series ever. And what a show! Wow - can that woman sing!
You can understand why both of her albums were #1 Picks-To-Click on XM Satellite radio's Bluesville Show and why she came in second at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in 2010 and received 3 American Blues Music Award nominations in 2011. We were very lucky to get her on this short tour into eastern Canada and it was her only stop in eastern Ontario. Next stop for them was Buddy Guy's Club in Chicago! |
